Are You Confused About Dog Food Nutrition?

Providing your puppy with good wholesome food, healthy and natural treats, and the necessary supplements will help her to grow healthy and strong.  It will also help her with her behavior and her ability to learn new things throughout her training.

All dogs are different. There are certain things you need to consider and keep in mind when deciding on a diet regimen that will provide your dog or puppy with all the needed dog food nutrition for their growing bodies.

There are also some rules that you should follow to make sure your dog is getting a proper balance of food and supplements to ensure healthy growth.

Stay Away From People Food

Most vets and breeders will tell you that table scraps are bad for your dog’s diet and to stay away from these scarps as much as possible. Some will also tell you that is a waste to spend so much money on a lot of the available commercial vitamins and mineral supplements. By giving your puppy people food you are encouraging her to get used to type of food. When the time comes to try and feed her, she will more than likely reject her own food.

Dogs have tastes too Open-mouthed. They will prefer our cooked food over their own and you can’t really blame them.

What you really want to avoid is to have her become a finicky eater since it will be more difficult to switch them over to food that is intended for her.

Limit the Amount of Dog Health Supplements

It is really not necessary to give your dog a separate dog health supplement in addition to her regular food. In fact the majority of supplements that areShar Pei Eating currently available are ineffective and can possible do more harm than good.

Adding a combination of supplements can be just as bad since they can create an imbalance in your dog’s diet.

Try to Provide Natural Dog Food

Your puppy will actually be better off just staying with her own food. Select a high quality commercial food that is made specifically for her needs. You can ask your vet for recommendations.

Along with her food you can also give her a multivitamin such as Omega 3 oil and an occasional liver tablet. In my opinion, the liver tablets are some of the best treats you can give you dog. You can find Omega 3 and liver tablets at most health food stores, pet stores, and online outlets.

You may also want to provide her with natural, whole foods.

Some examples are…

  • wheat grass
  • brewer’s yeast
  • bee pollen
  • barley

These are healthy foods that contain natural ingredients that will not upset the nutrients found in your dog’s regular diet.
